That “free money” about which some are so concerned is the billions of dollars in corporate subsidies given to companies already making billions of dollars; tax cuts for the very very wealthy; and defense contractors who gauge the military with impunity.

Not arguing that it's free ... but your priorities are way off. Start fixing the problem (support for low income working class families) from the bottom up like free daycare, free early education, charter schools, etc. Your ideas are simply a band-aid at best.

This is HUGE. The Democratic Michigan state legislature has just passed Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s budget which includes free breakfast AND lunch to ALL 1.4 million public school students in Michigan. Democrats continue delivering. This why elections matter.

The purpose of tax dollars isn't to grant favor one group over another. They are for protecting all individual rights equally. Tax money isn't the governments piggy bank to use in order to buy votes by picking winners and losers at taxpayer expense. Everything the government gives is something they paid themselves first to take.
