Williamson is giving the VBNMWs false hope. When Sanders gathered momentum in 2020, the DNC pounced on him - and they'll surely do the same to her. She's smart enough to know this but she continues with her book tour "candidacy".

The Democratic Party’s soul is its membership, & last time I checked, those members, whether superdelegates, leaders of the DNC, elected officials re-elected to the same office for decades don’t intend on going anywhere anytime soon.

Middle income to ultra high earners are "working people" and actually work more hours per week/year than their lower income counter parts. If you want to help lower income workers why not start with free day-care and early education through Kindergarten. Start bottom up.

A “guaranteed living wage” still forces a human being into a wage slave. Rapacious capitalists and neoliberal zealots cannot be trusted. An unconditional guaranteed income (not predicted on a bullshit job) provides liberation and economic justice.
