The working people of the United States didn't abandon the Democratic Party; the Democratic Party abandoned them. Medicare4All. Tuition-free college and tech school. Paid family leave. Guaranteed living wage. Pass the PRO-Act. When the Democratic Party reclaims its soul, we will win and win big. #Marianne2024

I’m getting “ I didn’t leave the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party left me” vibes and I like it.

NO to free college. It's a ridiculous idea in a capitalist society. If college became free, seems to me that that would imply total government control over all aspects of college.

The Democratic party has abandoned you. Yeah I'm running within the Democratic party. What of it?

Democratic voters became NEOliberals...a new type of liberal who aligns more with Reagan than FDR. They actually believe nothing else is possible and we're unhinged for reminding them what an old school liberal was. Boomer Dems voted against Reaganomics...today they justify it.

1/2: The Obama admin gave us government subsidized healthcare. Giving millions coverage who didn’t have it before. The Biden admin has forgiven millions in students debt and is battling in the courts to forgive more. Biden has also lowered medical costs for millions

Those are all utopian goals that will probably never be achieved, but they are worth striving for.

Yes the D Party has been captured by corporate interests, and has become a bourgeois party. But when a party depends on massive private funding to beat the R’s, that outcome is inevitable. The dynamics wont change until we have RCV, giving non-corporate parties a chance to win.
