Today’s Supreme Court decision barring Affirmative Action in college admissions is an unfortunate step backward in America’s commitment to social justice. But the deeper problem is that such programs should have ever been necessary to begin with. 1/2

Systemic racism begins in early childhood in the United States, and dealing with it there is how we will override the deepening racial injustices only exacerbated by today’s decision. Unequal opportunity in childhood education is where the problem begins and where we will ultimately solve it. 2/2

My commitment is to radically increase America’s commitment to every American child - to make every public school a palace of learning, culture and the arts. 3/3

The elite started systemic racism.. Now the elite want to blame regular Joe citizens for their messes in order to divide the population for power and votes. A colorblind society is the best.. This identity politics is actually a scourge

So you don’t GAF about people affected by racism now, and want to waste another 20 years pretending it’s simply about “opportunity” and somehow K-12 schools will magically fix inequality? That’s exactly what anti Affirmative Action racists believe. And you’re one of them.

I agree we need to invest in our education starting in preschool all the way up to college. College needs to be affordable or free.

I agree education is the largest part in racism, & hatred in our society. As soon as we learn history in school we are taught that the "white" men are basically evil. Events state white man stole Indian land, & enslaved African American people if I'm to be culturally correct.
