Today’s Supreme Court decision barring Affirmative Action in college admissions is an unfortunate step backward in America’s commitment to social justice. But the deeper problem is that such programs should have ever been necessary to begin with. 1/2

Systemic racism begins in early childhood in the United States, and dealing with it there is how we will override the deepening racial injustices only exacerbated by today’s decision. Unequal opportunity in childhood education is where the problem begins and where we will ultimately solve it. 2/2

For those angry about the recent court ruling striking down #AffirmativeAction. Has racism diminished during the time it was in active? Did it have any influence on it rising, or in some cases, declining? Has inequality increased or decreased during that time? Don't spend

Discrimination based on race is racism. If you support discrimination based on race, you are a racist.

I think the part I agree with most is "It never should've been necessary in the 1st place". I've thought that soooo many times. Hard to imagine what knuckle dragging barbarians so many people used to be en masse. And some still are.
