That system will go to extraordinary lengths to make sure the unholy alliance of government and corporate wealth is not disturbed. We have to be willing to go to any (peaceful) lengths to make sure it is.

i belive in the wisdom of the body politic. it needs to experience and practise agency, is all. baby steps. for that, we need a veto, the power to say "no". we raise our girls to say "no" to oppressors. that's a relatively new wrinkle. let's expand it so the public can refuse.
