(1.) I have to disagree with you on this. The Irish were very discriminated against in this country. There were Irish slaves well before black people were slaves. The Irish who came to America couldn’t get jobs. They fought in the civil war to abolish slavery

(2) The Irish were indentured servants. Read White Cargo. I know Dems think it was a black only problem but it wasn’t so if you give reparations because of wrongs committed over 150 years ago then you should give them to others and then once you do that then

I would have a slightly lower price tag, but it would be conditioned upon the Black community getting their out of wedlock birth rate back down below 25%, where it was prior to 1973. Otherwise we will just piss away the money.

What an excellent comparison. It's so sad that as a nation we have not been able to mend the atrocities of the past of our own doing, but yet looking at other countries like Germany having tried to make some reparations to the Jews in the Holocaust, we need to do better
