No phrase has been used more manipulatively than "national security." How many imperialistic wars have been fought, millions of lives wasted, and fortunes squandered because we were led to believe it was for the sake of "national security?" Our military madness has not made us more secure; it has made us less secure. and it has weakened us in the eyes of the world. We need to redefine "national security." We will be *secure* when our access to health care is secure, our access to education is secure, our children's safety is secure, our way to make a living wage is secure, our access to housing is secure, the safety of our water and food are secure, and our democracy is secure. First we change the conversation; then we can start to change the world.

Worse is : "to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States.." Interesting how the conservative interpretation of the " welfare" part has been disavowed as a U.S. responsibility, yet begrudgingly funded and highly politized.

Yeah, notice how people leave out "general Welfare?" Maybe they think the Founders were having socialist moment there!

How would WW2 and the Cold war have ended without a strong US military?

It’s not even about being secure because with god you are always secure it’s the corruption that has been taking place for too long to control and manipulate the lives of every innocent civilian so that no one gets to heaven on earth through our conscious

All that and no mention of Ukraine. Why are you so afraid to make ANY stand at all?

What Russians are doing in Ukraine, they would do to you.

Another phrase has supplanted "national security" as a term used manipulatively & falsely -- "democracy." Those who insist they must thuggishly censor "misinformation," (i.e., anything challenging the Establishment narrative), to "save democracy," when the very opposite is true.
