The values of the Declaration of Independence are profoundly humanitarian: All men are created equal, with inalienable rights (given by God) to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The values of trickle-down hyper-capitalistic economics are values-neutral, acknowledging no ethical responsibility to people or planet but only fiduciary responsibility to corporate stockholders. Our generation is confronted by the need to decide between the two.

Look at this nonsense

No. Capitalism is fair value given for value received - the height of ethics. Socialism grifts, seeking only to get something for nothing and destroy ethics with Need as its claim to value. It literally sucks. Choice to give is a right. Value taken without choice is stealing.

Disagree. "Men" meant white males. Chattel slavery was a means for the gentry class to enrich themselves further. Dehumanization ensued to disguise the motive. African Americans have suffered ever since. It's always been about money. Always.

And yet all you talk about is giving out "free" shit which you will tax us to death to pay for!

The Declaration of Independence was a breakup letter. It carries no force of law.
