It's extraordinary and extraordinarily dangerous. We need an American president who will declare a climate emergency, putting us on a path of mass mobilization for a just transition from a dirty to a clean economy. Not later. NOW.
At our @UN Headquarters in New York, we can feel the deteriorating air quality as smoke from the wildfires in Canada moves south. With global temperatures on the rise, the need to urgently reduce wildfire risk is critical. We must make peace with nature. We cannot give up.

Environment...
Today, we need to cultivate a sense of the oneness of humanity and work together to meet the challenges that affect us all. Scientists have warned about the climate crisis for some time. We cannot simply exploit this planet and its natural environment, we must take care of them.

Unfortunately our best talent have little interest in politics. Given the lack of unity and lack of "doing the best for America" this problem needs a special person to rise above and CARE sifting through the land mines.

Forest fires have nothing to do with climate change. This is why you aren't a serious candidate for President.

I'm not saying it is or it isn't climate change. I believe in climate change as a real thing. Crisis, perhaps not so much. We find ways to adapt. But this is kind of a weird argument people are having considering the history behind droughts in Canada, which do not appear to be rare based on my admittedly limited research. Seems like perhaps more research is needed before we jump to conclusions based on climate organizations that rely on funding for their existence and a PM who uses climate to usurp power in Canada. Just my 2 cents. I didn't post them all, but just some examples of the data if you look for it. #wildfires en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o… climatedata.ca/case-study/dr…

How? Americans love to consume and drive endlessly even though they know they are being excessive. What is your plan to go green without using child labor for renewable resources?

There is no climate emergency. Burning trees make smoke. CO2 is not "dirty".

Nature gave us enough time already, we wasted it. Now she seeks vengeance
