It's extraordinary and extraordinarily dangerous. We need an American president who will declare a climate emergency, putting us on a path of mass mobilization for a just transition from a dirty to a clean economy. Not later. NOW.
At our @UN Headquarters in New York, we can feel the deteriorating air quality as smoke from the wildfires in Canada moves south. With global temperatures on the rise, the need to urgently reduce wildfire risk is critical. We must make peace with nature. We cannot give up.

A declared climate emergency will not stop wildfires. We need to balance the survival of the middle and lower classes with the need for clean energy. We can barely afford to cool and heat our houses as is. RFK Jr envisions renewables taking over the power grid after the federal government ends subsidies to the nation’s energy producers so that the free market determines the survival of natural gas, coal, nuclear, wind, and solar. #FreeMarket solutions work. washingtontimes.com/news/202…

A fire set by man is not climate change m, it’s arson. A fire set by dry brush is forest mismanagement. It’s also been happening since the creation of forests lol
