Equal protection before law is so important! Notably: Drag shows are amazing — when i’ve gone to gay clubs and drag shows, everyone has always been so nice to me. I believe people deserve to be treated with dignity. I 100 percent agree with what Clarence Thomas said when he said, “Government cannot make us equal; it can only recognize, respect, and protect us as equal before the law.” I support this wholeheartedly. So yes, everyone should be treated equal before law (which means I oppose race-conscious admissions and I don’t think that trans athletes should be permitted to participate in women’s collegiate sports. The aforementioned don’t lend themselves to equality. Short of that, i look forward to the day when people can simply be!

Because of this Campaign I've met lots of Gay and Trans people - They have all been Wonderful - many seem to look at Marianne as someone who supports them, understand them and as President, will have their back - You can see the love in their eyes when they speak to her!

Marinanne...allowing ourselves to get bogged down in these truly niche issues and investing so much politicial capital in them allows "others" to paint and brand us as extreme and makes us no different than religious conversatives and their puppet masters. "Don't get got mommy."

Would you have let a 13 yo Emma make a irreversible medical decision? Consider, some surgeons, doctors, therapists & social workers are fetishists and are using children as political and cultural avatars. Just because someone is "well meaning" does not mean that they are "well".

Further..."yes" people should be allowed to define & express as they see fit. But transgenderism is predicated on the participation of others. It's only "whole" if others "see me" being that or are compelled to participate through language or accomodation. Not the same as "gay".

Would you make it illegal to misgender people?

Drag ≠ trans. They are often conflated but not the same. Plenty of cis engage in drag too. Those who oppose story time drag are not “anti trans” they are not even related. Plenty of trans people take this position as well.
