We need to make higher education affordable, or better yet—free to all. It is nearly impossible to be successful without an education. If we want to level the financial playing field and give everyone the same opportunity, we need to give minorities and the poor a fair chance.

No. Not everyone is qualified for higher education.....if it is free, many will choose it to delay entry into the workforce and either will fail or the system will dumb college down to be the equivalent of 13th grade. Make college somewhat difficult so you work for it.

backstopping free college education with a guarantee of federal funds provides NO incentive for colleges to take any action to control costs or improve efficiencies. so costs will spiral upward. and the right to education is reserved to the states, not the federal government.

Who is allowed to attend??? Diverse People with high marks or diverse people with skin color and/or sexual identity??? Tax payers want to know.

There is no such thing as “cost free”, somebody will have to pay for it one way or another.

Higher education is too important to be controlled by government.

Here’s where you go too far. Better to fund public education to the level where the High School diploma signifies critical thinking, problem solving and other practical skills. Oh, and reduce the current usurious Student Loan Interest rates to <1%. @ufalumni @UF @UFJSchool @kaj33

How do you plan to pay for it? There’s this $32T+ debt thing…
