The debt ceiling deal was a negotiation with economic terrorists. It protects those who do not need protection - who if anything should be held more accountable - and it inflicts harm on people who are most vulnerable. Also, it had nothing to do with fiscal responsibility. If McCarthy had really been about fiscal responsibility, he would’ve been open to cutting the military budget as well as letting Biden spend money on IRS agents who would’ve caught wealthy tax cheaters. Situations like this just keep moving the Overton window further and further away from a “government of the people, by the people, and for the people.”

You need to stop tweeting about economics...you make AOC seem like a Rhodes Scholar and that is next to impossible to do

So with your vast experience in governance, perhaps you can outline exactly how you would have handled the situation? 😂

I have yet to hear you criticize Biden for ignoring the issue when he had the power to do something about it. We all knew Rs would do this, they’ve done it like clockwork for decades. Ds are complicit, pretending their hands are tied and they had no way of knowing.

Thanks to you and ilk, we concede power to the GOP only because you lose independent voters in elections because of lofty never gonna happen goals unless you convince an overwhelming amount to vote Democrat, which you're incapable of.

The Democrats were in on it the entire time. After all, the Republicans and Democrats have the same donors. All the hand-wringing was theatre to protect the Democrat brand. The outcome was foregone.
