The debt ceiling deal was a negotiation with economic terrorists. It protects those who do not need protection - who if anything should be held more accountable - and it inflicts harm on people who are most vulnerable. Also, it had nothing to do with fiscal responsibility. If McCarthy had really been about fiscal responsibility, he would’ve been open to cutting the military budget as well as letting Biden spend money on IRS agents who would’ve caught wealthy tax cheaters. Situations like this just keep moving the Overton window further and further away from a “government of the people, by the people, and for the people.”

In a compromise, no one gets everything they want. We can’t continue spending like drunken sailors, and passing this outrageous debt to our children and grandchildren. Now it’s not the time to make cuts in the military when we are being threatened from countries around the world. Granted, I’m sure that some of the Pentagon spending, especially on “woke” programs, could be cut. Also, the IRS was coming after the little guy, not the big corporations. Many conservatives think there aren’t enough cuts. We can’t continue this free ride forever. It’s one reason that inflation is so out of control. Have you been to the market lately? Or to the gas station? They’re celebrating that gas has gone down a dollar from last year but it’s still way above what it was in 2020.

By controlling everything to draw a perception to lower your love levels and propaganda was very much expected but wherever the corruption started will be the ones to face their consequences

Fun to spend money that doesn’t belong to you. Politicians are drunk on it

Nope. The American public broadly supports reduced spending as a predicate to a debt limit increase.

A landslide size majority of Americans support reducing spending as a predicate to increasing the debt limit. This deal did not meet the wishes of the American people. It should fail. cnn.it/3qfV6Vy

Independent Californian but see your tweets and SMH. Between more funding for endless proxy wars, still wanting to defund law enforcement, advocating bigger IRS, and more you seem on wrong side of everything?? Can you endorse Robert Kennedy and move on? #RobertFKennedyJr

You people are comical. You "Negotiate" with money you don't have and call one side terrorists. You are all irresponsible elites, who live well beyond your means and somehow use a decent paying Govt Job to become rich. We see you all!

Biden is not going to cut military spending. The dems are our new war party. I have never trusted the narrative that more IRS agents will go after wealthy tax cheaters alone. There are too many loopholes for the wealthy. I wish you would of run 3rd party.
