In my proposed Economic Bill of Rights, number one would be the right to a job that pays a living wage. #Marianne2024

Great idea! Now tell us how you’d get it passed…

THIS IS CALLED COURAGE!

There is no right to a job. You and the company have to agree on your pay before you start work. There is no "living wage" because some people have few expenses and some people have very large living expenses.

Why does this wealthy woman seem like an insincere panderer? She’s just too damn comfortable with the world. I feel no outrage from her, a key ingredient to successfully convey sincerity.

Please explain this desire to enshrine the “right” to labor into 21st century discourse when it is painfully obvious that the NEED for human labor is fast becoming obsolete and we should endeavor to hasten that inevitable conclusion. People should work bc they want to.

This was one of the weaknesses of Bernie's plan. Anyone disabled with long COVID may not be able to work. I know you have robust disability reform, but that could take time. UBI solves that problem as well as so many others in our society. There won't even be enough jobs..

Although I take the point here is to highlight the living wage, but if there no job...it is of course pointless. And jobs guarantees ignores disabled people + disability. An area Bernie was a little just so-so on. UBI again solves this, and is badly needed.

If we had more corporations that want 4 their workers what they want 4 self yeah this would work but greedy owners have left the building
