And no mention of UBI lol she's absolutely shameless
Our current economic system is not working for the vast majority of Americans. We can change that.

I’m not against UBI. It doesn’t address the fundamental flaws of trickle down economics, therefore we shouldn’t see it as the ultimate fix. I said that in my last campaign as well. But as a temporary stopgap measure, I have no problem with it.

Trickle-down economics is only bad, If that is all we focus on, UBI has the same potential issue. Economic is meant to be cyclical, and at times, it will be important to fuel growth from the top. But we have off balanced the economy by focusing too much on trickle-down

I think we need to do all those things in the short term as you say - but also think about how to set up UBI for the future, as 50% of jobs will be lost due to automation. So we must do both imo. I think long term it is a solution when paired w those other fixes. We need both.

As to how to craft that to voters, I do not know the polling numbers. Immediate fixes can work for now, but discussing exploring UBI for future/near future is definitely useful. (Pilot programs ? Etc.)

But UBI does address a fundamental flaw (along with universal basic services such as healthcare), namely that our system confuses economical worth with human worth, doesn't honor our unconditional right to dignified life and forces unnecessary growth.

Come on @marwilliamson. #UBI in perpetuity would be a game changer and would help you accomplish many of the priorities on your agenda and YOU have the ovaries to make it happen!

It's the exact DEFINITION of the ultimate opposite of trickle-down and is a permanent fix (as far as we're still using money. There are other very very worthwhile things also I acknowledge. #CommonSense is this : the MOST decentralized you can get is a dividend to every Citizen

UBI is the ultimate solution to poverty, a floor below which no citizen is permitted to fall. To be practical it would need to be combined with progressive taxation and price controls (IMO), but it is the ultimate expression of 'people over profit'

I have been an advocate for almost a decade and deeply understand that UBI is not a silver bullet, and majority of our movement knows this, but it's a solution that addresses a lot of problems, is incredibly efficient and alleviating immediate poverty which is worth fighting for

Firstly thank you ma'am for taking the time to respond to the masses. Not a lot do and you have a track record of doing so and I respect and appreciate that. I understand what you are saying though. I believe UBI is an inevitable course of action and it can be a great tool for
