And no mention of UBI lol she's absolutely shameless
Our current economic system is not working for the vast majority of Americans. We can change that.

I’m not against UBI. It doesn’t address the fundamental flaws of trickle down economics, therefore we shouldn’t see it as the ultimate fix. I said that in my last campaign as well. But as a temporary stopgap measure, I have no problem with it.

UBI is not sufficient to fix our problems but it is necessary Especially with AI wreaking havoc on the job market it will only become more necessary with each advancement

Marianne I love you but you are wrong on this. UBI is a fundamental missing piece, the policy equivalent of: "you are a person who has value regardless of what markets say you are worth." It is absolutely core and the most important policy to implement. Not a stopgap, a floor.

Why do people persist in the delusion that UBI fails as a policy because it doesn’t solve all problems? Solving all problems is simply not possible. There will always be problems. And that’s okay. It’s about trading one set of problems in for an objectively better set.

UBI is literally the missing trickle in the premise of trickle down. when rich people get extra money they don't hire unneeded workers, buy unwanted goods. they hoard money. it rarely trickles down. UBI can be the way trickle can happen. for money to go back to future customers.

@NewProgressUSA I too would prefer @marwilliamson fully endorsed UBI. Heck i even wrote an article about it. I feel you. But the fact she is open to it is something. It's good of you to campaign but I still think mariannes worth supporting :)

So you aren't against it you're for it, but only temporarily, and while parroting anti-UBI talking points without including any details that'd make it more than talking points. No one is saying anything is an ultimate fix, that's a straw man too. Be better, or fuck off.

I'm supportive of UBI, but there are other ways to address the inequality issue. We must ensure everyone is able to survive and have access to healthcare without being employed. The less reliant people can be on "jobs" to survive, the less critical UBI becomes.

Why would it be temporary just because it doesn't solve everything? Good is good.

Thanks for thinking about #UBI. It's not meant to be a panacea, just an important part of the plan. Getting strict #RentControl, #LivingWage, #MedicareForAll working in concert WITH #UBI, it will be a powerful cure for the poison of "Trickle Down." I Appreciate your time. Thanks
