I’m in England now, where my daughter just gave birth to her first child. There is no way to describe how different the air feels in a hospital where no one is worried about how they’re going to pay the bill.

"The air feels"? My brother in law has been waiting 2 months for blood tests to find out what kind of leukemia he has so they can begin treatments. 2 fucking months for blood tests in the NHS! No government health care!

Congratulations- “The mother-daughter bond is the sacred because it represents the continuation of life.” Remember that when you were pregnant with your daughter the egg that has grown into granddaughter was in your body - you nourished your grandchild from the very beginning
