I’m in England now, where my daughter just gave birth to her first child. There is no way to describe how different the air feels in a hospital where no one is worried about how they’re going to pay the bill.

The Dem Party not only will never pass any form of singlepayer, but exists to co-opt and neutralize Leftists from taking power and doing so. You empower the Dem Party while pushing the lie it is some fantasized "lesser evil" and can be reformed from within. You are a fraud.

Except the Doctors and Nurses. Ask them how they like it.

As an English person who gave birth in the US, the thing I found the most creepy was the bar code they put on your wrist and every time they do anything, they scan you like you’re in a grocery store and add it to your bill

Also in the coming weeks your daughter will have a health visitor who will come to her front door to check on her and see how she’s doing regularly - that doesn’t happen in the US

But think about the insurance companies. Who will think of them?

Do you support Universal Healthcare? NHS has its problems, no doubt, but the greed of hospital CEO's in the US is unbelievable There needs to be a way that nobody in this country goes without healthcare People shouldn't need to choose between paying bills or having medical care

There's a lot to be said for Universal Health Care, the hallmark of a truly advanced, civilised society.

congratulations Marianne! even hobbled by a decade of sabotage and austerity, the NHS is still a blessing that we can scarcely conceive of over here
