Well said, Marianne. Biden has a record of angrily telling people who question his policies "if you don't like what I'm offering then vote for the other guy". He is afraid. Joe Biden knows that the more he talks the worse the public opinion is of him. He basically won the last election for president by hiding in a basement for most of the time. Of course he is going to use the same gameplay since no other one could help him.
