Franklin Roosevelt wanted an Economic Bill of Rights. It’s time to bring such a plan back to life.

The Soviet Union had an "economic bill of rights". It didn't work out so well for them. Rights are your protections from government. Communism sucks.

FDR’s “Economic Bill of Rights” is socialism. Hard pass on you digging this back up. This is a glorious meritocracy.

Need to check but when FDR passed SS & Medicare…was the US stuck w/ a federal deficit of x% of GDP?! A REAL leader needs to fix the budget! Let’s make sure that every CORPORATION pays tax on the $$$ they collected in the USA! Enough w/ the tax evasion schemes!

If only he had lived it would have happened. With WW2 victory no one could have stopped him.

Freedom is the right to sell your own time. As a farmer, I sell food. "Free" food either means that I don't get reimbursed for my time, or that reimbursement is seized from somebody else. The same goes for medical providers, construction workers, etc.

The problem, which Henry Wallace quickly discovered as soon as FDR was dead, is that the American ruling class sees an Economic Bill of Rights as a threat to their freedom. Because the freedom of elites to not have to apologize for their wealth is the most *American* freedom.
