What does every one of those primary challenges have in common? They failed AND caused the incumbent to loose in the general. In this case, it could hand Trump the Presidency. Go play with your crystals you selfish, stupid person.
When I was young, Eugene McCarthy and Bobby Kennedy challenged the sitting president, LBJ. No one thought it was weird for them to do so. In 1980, Teddy Kennedy challenged the sitting president, Jimmy Carter. No one thought it was weird for him to do so. People simply thought that was the democratic process. Because it is. The narrative that there's something *wrong* with challenging an incumbent president - as though there's an unwritten rule that it's a bad idea - is ridiculous. It's part of the "but it has to be this way" illusion by which political elites have trained people to limit our political imaginations for decades. People should run who feel moved to run, and everyone should have a chance to hear their ideas. Three people are running for the Democratic nomination in 2024 and three people should be seen together on a debate stage. *That* is the democratic way.

Your talking points are incorrect. Eugene and RFK did NOT cause the incumbent to lose. They did, however, contribute to LBJ dropping out of the race and convincing the country that the Viet Name was a bad idea. A big win for the country. Teddy Kennedy did not cause Carter to lose. Ronald Reagan did that. You're confusing correlation with causation, as they want you to do.

That’s absolutely untrue. They weakened the democratic front runners ahead of the general and contributed to their loss. The dropping out of LBJ lead way to Nixon who extended the Vietnam war. Put down the crystal and pick up a history book. Then drop out of the race! 📖 > 🔮

Oh and also, you’re no Bobby Kennedy!

If they'd done actual debates, maybe that would've *helped* LBJ and Carter. Ford didn't debate his challenger (Reagan) either. (76 was the first time there were GOP primaries in every state!!! That was true for the Dems in 72!!) HE LOST!

It’s pretty basic logic that challenging the incumbent, attempting to turn their base against them, hurts them in the general. And history has shown this repeatedly. Democracy is on the line, and she’s an utterly unserious candidate
Marianne, it is now time to consider gracefully bowing out of the race. Ive been a fervent supporter of yours since the day you first announced, but you just simply aren't gaining the traction. Joe Brandon will defeat you unfortunately. He is so strong. Drop out.
