When I was young, Eugene McCarthy and Bobby Kennedy challenged the sitting president, LBJ. No one thought it was weird for them to do so. In 1980, Teddy Kennedy challenged the sitting president, Jimmy Carter. No one thought it was weird for him to do so. People simply thought that was the democratic process. Because it is. The narrative that there's something *wrong* with challenging an incumbent president - as though there's an unwritten rule that it's a bad idea - is ridiculous. It's part of the "but it has to be this way" illusion by which political elites have trained people to limit our political imaginations for decades. People should run who feel moved to run, and everyone should have a chance to hear their ideas. Three people are running for the Democratic nomination in 2024 and three people should be seen together on a debate stage. *That* is the democratic way.

Wow a list of neoliberals, how about none of the above.
AOC…. Just because I want some popcorn and a VP debate night 😂😂😂
Yes, seems like niche #narrowcasting at #Reagan Library. (BTW, the CEO of @WaPo is also the chairman of the board at RL!) I met Nancy, briefly, when we were having Tea at adjacent tables at Bellair Hotel, ~2002; she would be horrifed!
There still is a desire to strengthen the ideals of free speech and democracy that our country was founded on. Our current administration may be receiving questionable advice and needs course correction as evidenced by threats to free speech, our economy, peace...
Valuing democracy, listening to voices outside of our current administration seems like a voter who cares to learn, who cares about being an educated voter. Seems Democratic to me. Dividing and minimizing people does not sound like what our fore fathers envisioned.
The response itself says everything. Diplomacy under the current administration seems more like an extension of the Defense Department. Recent changes by the Biden administration to limit the display of foreign donors to think tanks is telling. Take a look at Atlantic Council.

Heard on the Big TV News this morning: Trump & @TuckerCarlson are discussing organization of an "alternative debate", free from the restraints of the Parties & the TV networks. (I'm for a non-partisan, open debate with weekly sessions, inviting All qualified candidates to come.)
Categorically false! Her underlying seriousness is what the American people can RELY on. Ridiculing a Presidential candidate who actually cares about our country and the issues we face gets you what?
No she did not. If these are the only ways you can find to attack her, she must be doing pretty well. Obviously, she is vaccinated and doesn't work at a church and is a democrat.
