A homeless man was murdered on a NYC subway for doing nothing more than screaming that he's hungry. Then the Mayor calls it a "tragedy" related to "mental health issues" rather than a murder for which the murderer must be held accountable. A tragedy here is that so many Americans are so desperate that they're crying out for food in the middle of a subway; the mental health issue applies collectively to a society that can't break through this vicious cycle; and the question remains why no one in the subway car yelled out "STOP IT!!!" as they watched him die.

Start fixing the symptoms and causes of homelessness. Instead, they are focused on criminalizing houseless folks .

Threatening ans assulting passengers is just a bit more than being hungry. The real question is why this man was even on the metro and not in prison for being arrested 44 times

It wasn’t murder.. it was unfortunate. And the mayor surprisingly, laid blame squarely where it belonged.. the system, and many contributing factors, brought this about.

Universal Basic Income would help a lot. I can’t understand why you haven’t added it to your policies yet.

Are you the judge and jury Marianne? Have murder charges been brought? Does it occur to you the Mayor doesn’t want rioting?

It was a fight on a subway car. He had multiple aggressive offenses. I would be cautious before just piling on

I stand behind my fellow Marine Brother on this. He deserves his due process before you start throwing around the Murderer title as he is innocent until proven guilty by a jury of his peers. You should be afforded the same right of the presumption of innocence Ms. Williamson.

Challenge: Civil rights advocates find a martyr that isn't a horrible career criminal psychopath. Difficulty level: Impossible Much like his predecessor, the esteemed George Floyd, Mr Neely was a career violent criminal loose on our streets. Jordan had quite the rap sheet actually, with over 40 arrests recently ranging from public lewdness to assaulting a senior citizen. He also had an active felony arrest warrant. He was not fit for society, there is no need to protest or hold any vigils. This means nothing to the "activists" however. To them they only see "white man kills black man", it's not that they're ignoring the facts, it's that they simply don't care. This was evident when cities burned when a man died in police custody, a man who previously held a pregnant woman at gunpoint during a home invasion. No I won't be crying any tears. Good work to the 24 year old Marine who decided he wasn't going to let the situation escalate, you're a hero. I hope you stay safe.
