A homeless man was murdered on a NYC subway for doing nothing more than screaming that he's hungry. Then the Mayor calls it a "tragedy" related to "mental health issues" rather than a murder for which the murderer must be held accountable. A tragedy here is that so many Americans are so desperate that they're crying out for food in the middle of a subway; the mental health issue applies collectively to a society that can't break through this vicious cycle; and the question remains why no one in the subway car yelled out "STOP IT!!!" as they watched him die.

Virtue signaling… is that all you can do? Apparently! You don’t go into what’s causing homelessness and mental illness because it would make plainly and painfully obvious how little substance you have.

How many people per day are murdered in Democrat-run cities? But this one murder - for some reason - seems more important that ALL the others.

Maybe ride a public transit commute in a major metro area for a year before you act like you understand what is happening. 18 yrs riding the Chicago L and I saw so many similar instances where these vagrants attacked people viciously. Bring back law and order.

He was actually threatening to harm people

This is a terrible take. He had 44 priors, including assaults, a warrant out for him for felony assault. It's certainly sad. If the US had decent healthcare for poor, he could have been treated and he'd be alive. #M4All Still I don't fault citizens trying to subdue him

So what is behind this killing are two problems-1- the lack of effective resources for mental health issues-2- the aggravation of mental health issues by the federal government having walked away from Rooselts 1944 State of Union commitments. We need to have more housing built

It doesn't matter what rap sheet he has! He raised his voice in frustration he was hungry and thirsty because he couldn't take it anymore. For that, someone thought it was ok to cut off his air and kill him. IT'S NOT OKAY!!!!!!!!!!!

'nothing more than screaming that he's hungry' He was threatening everyone on that train. He had over 40 prior arrests. You live in the clouds, Marianne. Then again, progressive ambition requires a total disconnect from the reality of its policy effects.
