Republicans offer no relief at all, while Democrats are bragging that they achieved a $35/mo cap on insulin for those over 65. Okay, let’s break that down. That would still be $420 a year, and half of America’s seniors live on less than $25,000 a year. There are over 3 million insulin users over age 65, so if you multiply the 3 million by $420 that’s still a sweet profit for the pharmaceutical companies each year. And the situation gets worse. There are another over 5 million Americans needing insulin who are UNDER 65. Many are rationing their insulin, choosing on any given month whether to buy their insulin or pay their rent. This does not happen in countries where there is universal healthcare…which includes every advanced democracy except ours. What kind of “free market”leaves millions of people living their lives imprisoned behind the invisible walls of economic hardship? Millions of Americans have been trained to expect too little, numbed by a chronic, gnawing state of low-grade need to simply accept what they are given. They receive so little, and deserve so much more. #MedicareForAll (Gee, I wonder why the DNC doesn’t want to hold debates...)

Republicans blocked the $35 under 65 part of the bill. Without democrats the cost would be much higher. The perfect is the enemy of the good. Divide the democratic vote and you get a republican.

Uh, three of the largest insulin producers promised to cap the cost at $35/month for everyone, not just seniors.

So spending $5,000 per year is more affordable? 🤔 🤔 🤔

What is your plan for isolating funding for a Single Payer system so it won't become a political football every election cycle? I can't support a system that puts funding people's medical treatments in the hands of politicians.

Was Trump the one who achieved this then Biden reversed it to take credit? If so then ur literally giving your opponent credit for something he didn't even really do. Maybe like attack him?

You are running for President. Spend some time acquainting yourself with how the US Govt works. Presidents aren’t dictators.

Only one bit of the Big Pharma profit that was overlooked is that insurance picks up part of the cost of insulin over the $35 paid by the patient. My insurance has had a $35 co-pay on insulin for years & the carrier pays the balance. It wasn't a big win for the Dems.
