Some people think it's naive to think we could organize ourselves as a civilization along lines of compassion and collaboration. What's naive is to think humanity will survive another 100 years on this planet if we don't at least try.

Indeed, the very basis of free people in free markets with free speech and association is that voluntary actions are moral. Now if the people hate one another and have no charitable instincts, there will be problems, but you can't fix bad people. Let good people shine!
