Some people think it's naive to think we could organize ourselves as a civilization along lines of compassion and collaboration. What's naive is to think humanity will survive another 100 years on this planet if we don't at least try.

We have endless problems to solve, fear is one of them. Another is overpopulation the u.s. and the world. We are using up resources way to fast.

Does compassion and collaboration mean firing, censoring, and using other authoritarian means against those that aren’t “compassionate” and “collaborative”. And who defines what is and isn’t compassionate and collaborative. On who’s terms does everyone get these definitions? A “consensus” isn’t a real consensus if it’s achieved through manipulation, deceit, and fear.

The problem Marianne is that while your ideas are nice in theory, the fact is, you would be eaten alive by Putin and Xi.

You're the enemy of the working class, a coward, and a liar.

Where are you going to find the angels that will govern with “compassion and collaboration”? Human nature does not change. What you are proposing is fallacious.

Greed and Racism are deeply rooted in this society. If you call for restructuring of the global financial system, the FOMC will bankroll your chauffeur to run against you. If you call for the renunciation of racial incitement in religious books, their followers will boycott you.

To do that Marianne we would have to break our overwhelming addiction to energy and the technology which makes it so available to us. It’s the most powerful drug in history, allowing us to reface our planet and deliver comfort and abundance beyond compare. Won’t happen.
