“The only thing that we can do when you all, you men in the chamber, metaphorically keep slapping women by raising abortion again and again and again, is for us to slap you back with our words,” Senn said. pbs.org/newshour/politics/so…

“Just as rape is about power and control, so is this total ban,” McLeod said Thursday. “Those who continue to push legislation like this are raping us again with their indifference, violating us again with their righteous indignation, taunting us again with their insatiable need to play God while they continue to pass laws that are ungodly.”

Campaigns run to monopolize the identity politics terrain are a page out of the divisive Warren playbook. If MW isn’t campaigning to atomize naïve idealist energy from coalitions that could challenge Biden, she’ll speak broader, more strident truths that threaten extant power.

Women's rights, including the right to choose, should be protected and upheld. Supporting candidates who prioritize these issues, such as Marianne Williamson, is crucial in creating lasting change. 👍Run Marianne Williamson Run👍

A 22 to 31 vote marked the third time a near-total abortion ban has failed in the Republican-led South Carolina chamber since the U.S. Supreme Court reversed Roe v. Wade last summer - The chamber's five women filibustered in speeches highlighting the nearly all male majority!

I think you should set up a Freedom Summer Presidential Campaign in South Carolina. That’s ground zero in the Primaries. If you campaign on Reparations, Voting Rights, Medicare for All and Abortion Rights you will make a lot of inroads with the disenfranchised S. C. voters.
