Maybe use your social capital to engage with ambitious marginalized people that usually aren’t recognized and highlight what they are doing. When you make it all about yourself, you lose a lot of people. I really think that’s your main problem.

I use to use that term " push left" and realize it was the worst reductive view of policy. Policies have nuance that isn't just about left and right. Defund was a push left no one wanted and didn't represent who they were. He gets that, you don't
