I would de-schedule cannabis from a Schedule One drug on my first day in office. Release all nonviolent drug offenders. Expunge their records. End the War on Drugs. Happy 4/20! 💚

Let’s not forget the important information that neuroscientist & doctors have pointed out: marijuana isn’t recommended for people under 25 & other groups as well due to negative outcomes being reported. I want cannabis use, alcohol use, etc. to be well informed & responsible. 🫶🏾

Please elaborate. Are you proposing removing cannabis from the list of scheduled drugs altogether, or are you proposing a kinder, gentler prohibition by reclassifying it as Schedule II? And how exactly would you define "violent drug offenders"? 🤔

What about a Federal Jobs Program & housing? While I'm all in for releasing non-violent drug offenders, where are they going to work? How will they be able to get a job with no recent work history, or credit? Where are they going to go? Do they have some place to go?
