It has been a standard question EVERYWHERE when you go to urgent care.

Nurses need to know if you’re pregnant before prescribing meds…that’s the reason for the question. Perhaps she should’ve explained that instead of the perceived “hostile” look. Will you make such rash remarks if voted into office?

PRESIDENT BIDEN: Do you care about WOMEN? The #ERA SAVES reproductive rights & eliminates Women’s 2nd class status under the law WHEN it is CERTIFIED & PUBLISHED in the U.S. Constitution as the 28th Amend. @POTUS: Direct the archivist to publish the Equal Rights Amendment NOW!

This isn't exclusive to women. I too sprained my ankle badly in college, and the nurse asked me my number of sexual partners. I told them they could fuck all the way off with those questions.

They've always asked that, and its so that they can test you for pregnancy in case you need things like an XRay or emergency surgery. They like to protect fetuses from Xrays, wonder why.
Replying to @marwilliamson
Asking if you’re pregnant when needing an X-ray to not harm the fetus is the same as the handmaids tale. This has been standard procedure in the medical field for decades.

I can't remember a time when they didn't ask. Maybe we should ask when their last meal was or if they have a comfy bed to sleep in.
