There's a saying in AA about what happens when you grow "sick and tired of being sick and tired." You have to make a decision; your only two choices then are to spiral down, or to spiral up. It feels like the country is "sick and tired of being sick and tired" now, and people are spiraling down all over the place. What we need is a collective spiraling up, enough of us willing to say "No, we're not going down. We have decided not to. And we get that staying where we are is a form of spiraling down, just more slowly." We can choose to rise. We can commit to change, break with the past, cut the cord that has bound us to undue corporate influence on our government and on our lives, and start a season of repair. The only thing stopping us is the thought that it can't be done. #DisruptTheSystem Marianne2024.com

I stand corrected. “Sick and tired of being sick and tired” is actually a quote from Fannie Lou Hamer

Since you’re brave enough to correct yourself, perhaps try it on this gross tweet of misinformation:
When the Founders wrote the Second Amendment, the largest guns they had were muskets. The modern bullet had not yet been invented. They could only shoot one bullet at a time. Today’s assault weapon would be like the power of a cannon to them. The Second Amendment is NOT a legitimate reason not to ban assault weapons. Ban them now.

It's also an AA slogan. You're not wrong.

I feel like you can get the old white vote by asking them if their golden year's actually feel golden. Why they live on a fixed income being pumped full of expensive drugs they cant afford just to get them by each day.

I've just glanced at your website and will engage it further over time but while detail is important, technological neutrality when possible is essential. I'm not against 100 million EACH watt motors replacing simpler past ways of getting that work done per se, but am concerned.

We actually do say that in AA though

Make sure to watch the recent Fannie Lou Hamer documentary (Fannie Lou Hamer's America). She is an absolute hero. If you're able to make it to her statue, let us know. It's a pilgrimage goal of mine!

Hi, I would love it if you could speak out about the revolution in Iran along with using the hashtags: #MahsaAmini and #IranRevolution. This would help a ton to keep this issue in the media spotlight especially coming from a U.S. presidential candidate.

Good to credit when due (especially black women) but it doesn’t make it NOT a phrase in AA. Collective wisdom is like that.
