Amen! Heroes (super or not), Stars, Celebrities, Billionaire, Infamous...NONE of these monikers necessarily carry ANY acumen for public service. And while we're at it: They MUST release their financial interests, and MUST create true blind trusts to manage that while serving.

"Qualified" is a recent, meaningless buzzword the MSM created for politically disengaged but celebrity/identity-obsessed people to recite as some rationale ("I support Hillary. She's the most qualified.") John Gotti was a highly qualified leader, but I wouldn't want him as mayor.
