And this is what Americans are beginning to understand… There’s no good reason why Americans don’t have universal healthcare like they have in every other advanced democracy. Some politicians would have you believe “it’s complicated.” But it isn’t complicated. It’s corrupt.
This one time, as I was leaving the doctor’s office in Germany and they knew I was American the front desk quipped, “We’ll send you the bill.” I was like sure, okay — and then the staff burst out laughing. German joke! There’s no bill, not like in America. Ha ha! HA! 🙄😆

The federal government can't even administer the VA properly. There is zero evidence they won't actually cause people's deaths if entrusted eith our lives. Let's see the VA operate smoothly for 10 years or so and then we can revisit this horrible idea.

Will materialize when the State ( politicians & bureaucrats ) owns/operates some (not all) of medical schools, research facilities, hospitals, clinics. Of course, compensation of medical personnel will of necessity be dramatically reduced.

I mean if we concentrated on things in this country instead of funding so many others across the world things could potentially improve

Not free and not really affordable, just look at Canada's solution to having too many people on their universal healthcare.

It is not complicated. We are spending billions on the defense of Europe.....and being the German military. This gives them more money to do other things. The facts are: we had to put down fascist Germany, but then re-built them, helping them to be what they are today.

It’s all about money. Just like everything else in this country.

I opted to drop my health insurance and instead am now putting what I would pay in premiums into my own savings account to cover medical expenses. Office visits, prescriptions, and labs are cheaper with no insurance. Its insane.
