The good reason not to have universal healthcare is because we aren't communist and it's theft and a violation of rights. There's no good reason for you to be a politician if you can't grasp the basic American principle of individual sovereignty.

That's because you pay the bill with every paycheck, plus you are paying other people's bill. On top of that you pay all the dead head govt workers to do administrative work. You never payoff the dr bill. Only a child has the mentality that something is "free"

What amazes me about Marianne, is that even when she argues for things I agree with in principle, she uses such poor arguments that I still disagree with her. And yes, societies & sociolegal systems are complicated. Comparing 2 different nations one a single metric is nonsense.
