And this is what Americans are beginning to understand… There’s no good reason why Americans don’t have universal healthcare like they have in every other advanced democracy. Some politicians would have you believe “it’s complicated.” But it isn’t complicated. It’s corrupt.
This one time, as I was leaving the doctor’s office in Germany and they knew I was American the front desk quipped, “We’ll send you the bill.” I was like sure, okay — and then the staff burst out laughing. German joke! There’s no bill, not like in America. Ha ha! HA! 🙄😆

It's because America was founded in "owner controlled Capitalism"... one that did not pay a penny of "tax" or "tribute" to king, duke, prince, or lord. Only land owners were to have a right to vote. Healthcare was for the wealthy and who they chose to sponsor.
