When the Founders wrote the Second Amendment, the largest guns they had were muskets. The modern bullet had not yet been invented. They could only shoot one bullet at a time. Today’s assault weapon would be like the power of a cannon to them. The Second Amendment is NOT a legitimate reason not to ban assault weapons. Ban them now.

The muskets our founders had were equivalent to the British military arms. They were the most advanced of the time. And since the 2A is a living document that would continue with time. AR-15s are as close as we can get now, the 2A is already being grossly infringed on.

When the founders wrote the Bill of Rights, they also wrote Article V. Maybe you should read it. It’s how Amendments are done. Until then, the Bill of Rights are not suggestions.

2a has nothing to do with the type of weapon- it's about whom you may protect yourself against.

This argument has been settled. You are a liar.

You just typed this on a device not available to the founding fathers, you shouldn't be allowed free speech. Women couldn't vote in the time of the founding fathers. Should we ban that too? Shall not be infringed is pretty damn clear.
