When the Founders wrote the Second Amendment, the largest guns they had were muskets. The modern bullet had not yet been invented. They could only shoot one bullet at a time. Today’s assault weapon would be like the power of a cannon to them. The Second Amendment is NOT a legitimate reason not to ban assault weapons. Ban them now.

Machiavelli, in his epic and time-tested treatise on good governance “The Prince” said: “if you trust your people, arm them”. He said that long before muskets were invented and yet the founding fathers saw fit to make sure that America’s populace was armed. Why? Because an armed population is capable of defending itself from outside threats as well as resisting corrupt and treasonous leaders. Tyrants ALWAYS seek to disarm citizens, making them powerless to resist the damage they inflict.

Ironic you mention cannons, as those were absolutely legal to own when they wrote it. And they had full auto at the time, as well. GFY

1. They had cannons. 2. The bullet was invented centuries before. Modern bullet? Poorly defined claim. 3. There were several repeating arms at the time. Your score: 0% correct.

What gun made today fires more than one bullet at a time? Musket balls generally do more physical damage than modern firearm rounds because they're much larger and heavier, which more than offsets their lower velocity. Maybe steer clear of topics you know nothing about?
