1/3 of American workers live on less than $15 an hour. 68,000 people die in America every year from lack of healthcare. America’s poverty rate is higher than in any other advanced democracy. None of that is necessary. And none of it is excusable.
The minimum wage is still $7.25 in 20 states.

How about every legislator earns the minimum wage in their home state? Unless everyone in their home state is covered by health insurance- these legislators pay out of their own pocket for health care coverage.

Minimum wage entry level jobs are not meant to be long term family sustaining or career jobs. Curbing government spending and creating an environment for business growth with lower taxes is a better path.
