People that work 40 hours per week shouldn’t have to rely on food stamps just to make ends meet. Their employers should be paying them a living wage.

Part of how progressives need to win is to center small businesses. They could earn a lot of support by advancing progressive taxation on larger businesses in conjunction with tax breaks or even credits to help grow wages among smaller businesses.
