A corporation is an organism. If one part of the system is harmed the whole system degrades. The system either repairs itself or dies. Outside forces such as government, unions or markets degrade that process. Forcing better pay, for instance, is a bandaid on corporate death.

Lol no. The US had to compete with the standards of the USSR, so they couldn't let capital dictate everything. Once the USSR was gone, it was open season for capital bc the US didn't have to compete with anyone anymore. Thus deregulation and rights being repealed later.
