With the U.S. already at the highest level of poverty in advanced democracies, we're dropping 15 million people from medicaid and 30 million from SNAP benefits this week. It’s not just economic poverty staring us in the face. It's moral poverty staring at us in the mirror.

Only in America do our voters who barely have their own heads above water also wish to drown those who are falling just a little short. They think by getting rid of "the assisted", their own life will be better. We think "all or nothing". "A little poor" is "All the way poor!"
