I’ve been ashamed of this government since I was a teenager, because I actually believed we the people elected it. Now that I know it’s appointed by the rot at the top, I can stop blaming myself, and look for actual solutions.

What's your solution? Restating obvious problems with no solution is about as useless as shouting that your flowers don't want to grow when you dont even water them.

So far, Democrats have taken the exact same measures to resolve this problem as the Republicans have - nothing. And no amount of sheepherding for Democrats is going to fix this.
