When the Covid emergency officially ends this week, 15 million people will be thrown off Medicaid and 30 million will lose SNAP benefits. I'm willing to bet that most of the people making excuses for all those "qualified" people who decided to end the emergency 1) have decent healthcare, 2) are not hungry, and 3) have never had a hunger child. nytimes.com/2023/02/28/us/po…

We absolutely should end the emergency for reasons pertaining to CoVid. It's dishonest and dangerous to not do so. But we should absolutely have an emergency for reasons pertaining to mental health, homelessness, and hunger. You need to understand the difference.

I always find it bizarre that the poorest states that pay the least taxes and stand to gain the most in the general better quality of life for their neighbors and state - begrudge - these federal programs much paid for by wealthier states that could help improve theirs … so odd

People who feel Medicaid & snap R careless handouts- they R not,Someone receiving them must prove need /taxes & all kinds of proof. it’s well governed, 2 aid those who truly need it. Why wouldn’t we want this, R we really that mean & uncaring? We send the same aid 2 other nations

Seems like a good time for that. It’s not like the economy is collapsing around them and they need more help than ever. Another win for the democrats

Seems like a return to simpler times. When, as a born or naturalized citizen you have to work, or you starve. Works that way everywhere else, why not here?
