When the Covid emergency officially ends this week, 15 million people will be thrown off Medicaid and 30 million will lose SNAP benefits. I'm willing to bet that most of the people making excuses for all those "qualified" people who decided to end the emergency 1) have decent healthcare, 2) are not hungry, and 3) have never had a hunger child. nytimes.com/2023/02/28/us/po…

45 million Americans want to know your stance on returning bankruptcy protections to student loan borrowers. You may actually have my vote depending on your response. And a hell of a lot more. #CancelALLStudentDebtNOW

The entire loan debt should be eradicated, but to the extent that it exists there should absolutely be bankruptcy protections. We should be supporting the dreams of our youth, not thwarting them .

Totally understand. But, have you been working on this before this week? Has anyone? Or is it 'politically expedient' to just let the chips fall where they may and yell, "Foul!" after the fact? Dont' get me wrong...if you have, that's great. Just know it's been really quiet here on the Twitter frontier... 🤷🏽‍♀️

You do understand that this was emergency free shit cuz the pandemic. Most do not normally qualify for free shit mmmkay. Even multimillionaire small biz owners got tons of free shit. You wanna keep that river of free shit flowing?

Indeed, this is going to rip the floor right out from all these individuals. *The way we handled covid relief during the pandemic was abysmal to begin with. It should have been regular monthly unconditional checks (taxed back beyond a certain income threshold), not boosted unemployment with sporadic income-limited checks. SNAP must be replaced with a cash offering anyway, restricting what someone can use the benefit for is barbaric.

COVID hasn't been a problem in a very long time. Time to end the fearmongering, tarot grandma.
