Just an American thing.
So do little children in other countries have to do active shooter drills and role play hiding from assault weapon massacres in school, or is that just a US thing?

Correct. My son has taught English in South Korea (public schools) the last three years. They do not have active shooter drills or school shootings.

so why do we not make it mandatory to teach children the responsibility of gun ownership? why do we make learning centers the easiest target for people wanting to do harm?

I remember we were doing them where I was in the 90s (US obviously), when I started I was in second grade and it was scary and confusing. The faculty would bang on doors and pretend to be the cops, we weren’t allowed to respond cause it could be a shooter trying to trick us.

I’m debating this we need to counter the other side with: HOW COME CRIMINALS CANNOT ACQUIRE GUNS ON THE BLACK MARKET IN OTHER COUNTRIES?
