This country is actually sliding backwards, diminishing rather than expanding the rights of Americans. It’s unbelievable that in 2023 we’re actually having to defend child labor laws against encroachment by corporate tyrants. But we are. And we must.

As a progressive boomer I'm still trying to understand how we're fighting for the same civil rights as we were in the 60's. It's clear we've left a mess behind. Time for progressive leadership to usher in real and sustainable change.
