This country is actually sliding backwards, diminishing rather than expanding the rights of Americans. It’s unbelievable that in 2023 we’re actually having to defend child labor laws against encroachment by corporate tyrants. But we are. And we must.
Workplace law changes would make for lost, dangerous Iowa childhoods, Council Bluffs labor leaders, parents, say "The bill is about billion-dollar corporations pressuring our Legislature to allow them to exploit our children," says @Jen4IALabor theiowamercury.substack.com/…

The major reason for the decline of the USA, the one that has impacted every aspect of human life and continues to, is the failed theory of globalization by the Neocons. And they are still in charge.

When you open the borders, and any swinging dick on the planet can become and "american", it becomes a free-for-all. Child labor? Who's children? Not by responsibility, not my fight.

Please don't lose your energy. You're exactly what we need right now. I'm a Bernie Sanders fan, yet of all those who ran last time, you're the only one still consistent with his views. Let's go!

I would advocate jobs in the summer like the Youth Conservation Corps that I did growing up. We learned the importance of accountability and teamwork while also the science and societal impacts of our relationship with nature. And we made a difference.

I started working at 12 or 13 and I am grateful for it. Kids shouldn't be working dangerous jobs or excessive hours but they should have the freedom to work. #freedom
